The Electrical Safety Program Manager will be responsible for the development of a comprehensive electrical safety management program covering construction, operations, maintenance and service operations. The program will include written procedures, training, auditing and other elements of control associated with the management of electrical safety.
The Safety Program Manager will develop a “World-Class” Electrical Safety Management program that covers:
º Written procedures covering electrical safe work practices with respect to high voltage work in construction, heavy industry, maintenance, service and other related operations;
º Development of regulatory compliant and comprehensive training programs covering NFPA 70E, NEC, Electrical PPE, Electrical Safe work practices, EM 385 USACE, OSHA 1910, 1926 and related regulatory requirements;
º Development of electrical safety auditing programs;
º Review of contract specifications to assess electrical risk;
º Assist in the development of comprehensive project safety plans;
º Preparing reports covering the implementation progress of the electrical safe work program;
º Investigating accidents and incidents that occur on project sites
º Recommending measures to ensure maximum employee protection.
º Participating in educational meetings to instruct employees in matters pertaining to occupational health and prevention of accidents including employee awareness training and new hire orientation.
º Preparing reports including observations and recommendations for control and correction of hazards.
Requirements:
º Master's degree in Electrical Engineer - P.E./CSP desired
º 10 years of construction, operational, service and/or industrial electrical safety training covering NFPA 70E, High Voltage safe work practices during: shutdown, turnaround, operations and service work. OSHA 10/30 Authorized Instuctor - Construction or In
dustrial
º Minimum 10 - 15 years experience in electrical safety program management
º Ability to conduct effective training programs for internal and external customers.
