IES Engineers is a full service environmental, health and safety and engineering consulting company focusing on the meeting the EHS and engineering needs of biopharmacuetical, healthcare, food, chemical, coatings, printing and semi-conductor industries. IES and it's sister company IPS are jointly owned firms specializing in the engineering and construction of pharmaceutical, biomedical, and semi-conductor facilities.
HISTORY:
In 1989, Andrew Signore and Joseph Blanchard took their experience as construction engineers with major pharmaceutical companies and established IPS, serving pharmaceutical and biomedical companies exclusively. Beginning with a staff of four employees, they targeted small projects where they managed the entire building process for their clients. As their superior reputation for quality and capabilities grew, so did the size and scope of their work, taking them from projects under two million dollars, to fifteen and twenty million dollar building and expansion projects. Recently IPS has utilized their expertise in pharmaceutical clean room technology and expanded it into the semi-conductor industry.
In 1991, Ashok Soni joined as a third partner, establishing a second engineering firm, IES, specializing in environmental/safety engineering and compliance services. In addition to companies in this region, the heart of the pharmaceutical industry’s U.S. geographic center, the firms service clients in areas such as the Midwestern U.S. and Southeast Asia. IPS and IES now employ nearly 250 engineers in engineering, process, validation, construction, and environmental, safety and health management departments. They have recently moved into their new corporate headquarters building in suburban Philadelphia. Regional offices are located in Somerset, New Jersey, Morrisville, North Carolina, and San Juan Puerto Rico. Despite their expansion the principals remain personally involved with their clients
