Department of Environmental and Biological Science


The program of study in biology provides two degrees (a B.S. in biology and a B.S. in biology education). These degrees are designed to enhance scientific knowledge and career potential for individuals preparing to become teachers, biomedical researchers, and health care providers. They provide information in microbiology, botany, zoology, genetics, ecology, and biotechnology. Additionally, the biology program of study provides opportunities for non science majors and majors in other science areas to take courses in the biological sciences that will aid in establishing their educational base while providing them with a well-rounded undergraduate experience.
