Biology Program
Biology at Huntingdon College is a vigorous and growing program. Over the past decade, the number of biology majors at the College has grown from under 20 to over 100. The faculty has been expanded, and recent alumni have gone on to Medical School, Veterinary School, Ph.D. programs in biology, and also found employment in various fields of biology.

Field Biology Program
The major in field biology requires the same core as the major in biology, that is, Introductory Biology with laboratories, Cell Biology, Genetics, and Ecology. The major in Field Biology would allow, encourage, and require students to focus their advanced biological education in the area of field biology.
This focused education provides the groundwork for graduate studies in ecology, and providing an introduction to environmental research. This major explicitly allows certain courses taken at the Dauphin Island Marine Laboratory to count toward the major, an option not formally available in the Biology major as such.
